Tenerife

When September arrives the city of La Laguna gets ready to honour the "Santísimo Cristo"(Holy Christ), one of the most worshipped images of Tenerife. There are a number of events throughout this month to celebrate one of the most important festivals of this district and of Tenerife. In particular, there is a marvellous firework display on the night of the 14th of September to accompany the procession of the statue of the Holy Christ.
