Santa Cruz de Tenerife will elect its Carnival Queen on Wednesday 30th January
On Friday, 1st February, with the Initial Cavalcade, the festival will move into the streets
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is getting ready to elect the Carnival Queen for this year’s fiesta. The Gala Festival will be held on Wednesday, 30th January, at 9:30 p.m. on the stage located by the Cesar Manrique Lido. Two days later, on Friday 1st February, the Initial Cavalcade, which will start on Avenida Bélgica at 8:00 p.m. and come to an end on Avenida Anaga, will be the signal for the street fiesta with dances around the different stages set up at various points in the centre of the city.
The Carnival events will continue with another parade, the Coso Apoteosis, on Tuesday 5th in Avenida Anaga. On Wednesday, the Entierro de la Sardina will be held. And the fiesta will draw to a close at the weekend of Friday 8th and Saturday 9th, with the final dances in the street.
