San Marcos
Volcanic sand beach located in Tenerife North
In the district of Icod de los Vinos, in the north of Tenerife, the small San Marcos beach has a family-friendly atmosphere, especially during summer, with loads of fine, volcanic sand. Beachgoers will find showers, changing rooms and a number of bars and restaurants, as well as parking along the seafront promenade. Swimming conditions are excellent thanks to the shell-like shape of the beach, which protects it from the pounding waves.
