A new footpath bringing you into the nature and culture
of the Corona Forestal Natural Park
The PR-TF 72 was opened in the South of Tenerife. This
attractive, well-signposted and safe footpath borders the Paisaje Lunar,
the moonscape around the village of Vilaflor.
The PR-TF 72 is part of the Chasna Trail, a 500-year-old
route, and starts in the village of Vilaflor itself.
The uniqueness of the landscape adds to the beauty of
the walk from the first steps. The Canarian pine
forests, matchless across the world, still hold the
footsteps of those who daily traversed its woods to
make a living.
After approximately 4 miles, the PR-TF 72 reaches
a privileged viewpoint, where the moonscape can
be admired in its entirety. The access to this area
was formerly allowed though the Madre del Agua
track; however, vehicular traffic is currently
prohibited, with fines ranging from 100 to 1.000

of the European Ramblers' Association, guaranteeing
the quality and safety of its design. It also offers additional
features such as tables and information panels, which
contribute to enhance the visitor experience.A topo map
and a self-guided walk leaflet is also available for purchase at La
Alpizpa (SINPROMI) shops and also at some points of sale situated
