Tarajal
A plant species growing in ravines and dunes in southern Tenerife
The tarajal plant (Tamarix canariensis) can be seen in Tenerife in many gardens and parks, but it also grows wildly by the coast and near certain streams that run through ravines. Its small leaves and flowers have been used for centuries for their medicinal properties.
