Not all hotels and apartments in Tenerife accept pets, so it is important to check first. You also need to bear in mind the restrictions of the particular airline you are using. In general pets that weigh less than six kilograms can travel inside the cabin (always using travel cage/bag), larger pets will have to go in the plane's hold with the luggage.
