La Enramada Beach

If you would like to visit a particularly calm beach on the south of the Island where you can feel at one with nature, you will love La Enramada. The sand here is formed by the beach's own crushed pebbles.

Its waves are usually gentle, though groups of bodyboarders come to the beach at certain times of year in search for the top quality waves created by its volcanic rock floor.

A sight you won't easily forget are the small mounds of stones that have been piled up creating little towers all over the pebbled part of the beach. Visitors have gradually built these towers to different heights so they create a spectacular display of shapes and colours that reaches its full splendour at sunset.
