San Telmo Beach

This is the most traditional and picturesque spot for a swim in Puerto de la Cruz. It is not far from the 18th century San Telmo chapel. Its peculiar charm lies in the natural rock pools that are revealed as the tide goes out.The beach, which used to be used as a small harbour, is made of black sand and lapilli, and flies a Blue Flag as a sign of the quality of its water and services.Ideally, you should round off your stay here with a visit to the promenade of San Telmo that runs along the coast, with all kinds of services, shops and restaurants where you can have a drink and savour some exquisite Canarian cuisine in an unbeatable setting.
