A new option for animation and VFX on the Island
Just seven months after the Italian company MondoTV chose Tenerife as their headquarters in the Canary Islands, 3Doubles Producciones officially opened. A new animation and VFX company made up of nearly 30 widely-experienced professionals from all over Spain led by Maxi Díaz –‘Planet 51’, ‘Las Aventuras de Tadeo Jones’– as animation director.
The studio’s first production is the animation feature ‘The Steam Engines of Oz’, a co-production with Arcana Studios, the largest comics publishing house in Canada, whose book was a best-seller and has sold thousands of copies worldwide.
Opening in Santa Cruz de Tenerife has been a strategic opportunity for the company thanks to its tax breaks, the talent available and the institutional support given to a business sector with a high potential on the Islands.
