Backpacking is a quite interesting way of travelling but….is Tenerife backpackers welcome?<\/p>\n

Of course! There are many affordable places all over the island and recently proper hostels are opening.<\/p>\n

While I was looking for a place to spend\u00a0 a family weekend I found Lagarto Backpackers<\/a>, between Tejina and Valle Guerra in the North of Tenerife.<\/p>\n

I love that area, it’s not crowded, there’s plenty to do and the price was afordable, so I booked.<\/p>\n

Lagarto Backpackers<\/strong> is a small\u00a0 youth hostel ( I’m 40, but I’ve been\u00a0 a backpacker for years ), where you can share or book your private room, what I did.<\/p>\n

When we arrived we had a great warm welcome by Rey,\u00a0 a fabulous labrador and Vitto, one of the owners, who on the phone assured and guaranteed me the hostel wasn’t fully booked and there was no party going on.<\/p>\n

My daughter, just disapeared with Rey, her new bestest friend, to check the garden and the pool, while I started my own inspection of the place.<\/p>\n
