The seven of us , wanted to walk but also see Tajinastes (<a title=\"Mount-Teide-Tajinaste-Tower-of-jewels\" href=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/about-tenerife\/fauna-and-flora\/species-of-flora\/tajinaste+rojo.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Tower of Jewels<\/a>) blossom, so instead of getting there on \u00a0our own, we decided to hire a guide and avoid walking without specific direction and enjoy explanations about \u00a0flora, fauna, \u00a0legends&#8230;. In the first part, our \u00a0ascension, we\u00a0enjoyed the Tajinastes that dotted the landscape in \u00a0red and whose bloom, \u00a0Felix said , that \u00a0takes a process of a month and a half, but whose peak only lasts for two weeks .Quite a visual spectacle that is one more excuse to go up to Mount \u00a0Teide Park with a guide.<\/p>\n<p>We went through the <strong>Canada del Capricho<\/strong>, one of the areas where climbing is permitted in the National Park, with their gorgeous white and red\u00a0shades, full of curious holes that should fascinate climbers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1278\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1278\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Canada-del-capricho-teide.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1278\" title=\"Canada-del-capricho-Mount-Teide\" src=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Canada-del-capricho-teide.jpg\" alt=\"climbing-area-Mount-Teide-National-Park\" width=\"640\" height=\"398\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Canada-del-capricho-teide.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Canada-del-capricho-teide-300x186.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1278\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Canada-del-capricho-Mount-Teide<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We continued walking up through\u00a0<strong>Degollada de Guajara<\/strong>, stopping us to enjoy a <strong>grey Chaffinch<\/strong> singing, which seemed to be there waiting for us to attend to its concert\u00a0\u00a0and that instead of flying,it sang for us. Amazing!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1279\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1279\" style=\"width: 336px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_9525b.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1279 \" title=\"Chaffinch-Mount-Teide-wildlife\" src=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_9525b.jpg\" alt=\"Chaffinch-Mount-Teide-wildlife\" width=\"336\" height=\"391\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_9525b.jpg 336w, https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/IMG_9525b-257x300.jpg 257w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1279\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chaffinch at Mount Teide &#8211; Tenerife<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We finally finished our ascent at a point from which the views of <strong>\u00a0LLano de Ucanca<\/strong> with Mount Teide just in \u00a0frontof us, \u00a0widely\u00a0compensated the effort.<\/p>\n<p>We made a break in where, long time ago, it had been refuge for goat herders, which also served in the 19th century as a place for astronomical observation and where you can find a box with agendas that are used \u00a0as \u00a0guestbooks. Among others, Ra\u00fal Socorro, from <a title=\"Tenerife-cio-Company\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cio-company.com\/en\/sectores\/sport--travel\" target=\"_blank\">Cio Sport &amp; Travel<\/a> also left evidence of his visit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Teide-desde-refugio-cabreros.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1280\" title=\"Mount-Teide-from -Montana-Guajara-top\" src=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Teide-desde-refugio-cabreros.jpg\" alt=\"Mount-Teide-from -Montana-Guajara-top\" width=\"404\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Teide-desde-refugio-cabreros.jpg 404w, https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Teide-desde-refugio-cabreros-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Teide-desde-refugio-cabreros-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 404px) 100vw, 404px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After listening to \u00a0the legend of Guajara, we began to descend by the Ucanca Valley, but not before a last look to \u00a0a panoramic view of Llano de Ucanca.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1281\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1281\" style=\"width: 448px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/vistas-llano-Ucanca.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1281\" title=\"llano-Ucanca-views\" src=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/vistas-llano-Ucanca.jpg\" alt=\"llano-Ucanca-Mount-Teide-National-Park\" width=\"448\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/vistas-llano-Ucanca.jpg 448w, https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/vistas-llano-Ucanca-300x100.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1281\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Llano Ucanca views at Mount Teide National Park<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the \u00a0descent it was almost \u00a0when I\u00a0more valued having a guide by me. While the \u00a0way up\u00a0\u00a0was also busy and well signposted, the descent required much more attention, though \u00a0I don&#8217;t \u00a0suffer from vertigo, easy \u00a0was to\u00a0\u00a0slip or give a stumble in a soil of sand or with a lot of stones, but that surprised us with a Mount Teide violet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1282\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1282\" style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/violeta-del-Teide.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1282\" title=\"Violet-at-Mount-Teide\" src=\"http:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/violeta-del-Teide.jpg\" alt=\"Violet-at-Mount-Teide\" width=\"480\" height=\"491\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/violeta-del-Teide.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/violeta-del-Teide-293x300.jpg 293w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1282\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Violet at Mount Teide<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And so we kept \u00a0walking back to Parador, \u00a0always supervised by Felix . Done! &#8230; Although I \u00a0was\u00a0the last arriving.<\/p>\n<p>No, here does not end our day.
