Volcano Films,\u00a0a\u00a0veteran\u00a0Canaries production company, is shooting two feature films in 2018 packed with Canaries talent.\u00a0The first film,\u00a0La\u00a0<\/i>viajante<\/i><\/strong>,\u00a0directed by\u00a0Miguel\u00a0Mej\u00edas\u00a0and co-produced by\u00a0Digital 104\u00a0and\u00a0Volcano Films,\u00a0is currently being shot.\u00a0Tenerife, Gran\u00a0Canaria\u00a0and\u00a0Fuerteventura\u00a0are the perfect locations for this story.\u00a0Hombre<\/i>s<\/i>\u00a0de\u00a0<\/i>leche<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0is in pre-production and is directed by Canaries\u00a0David\u00a0Pantale\u00f3n.\u00a0This is the first feature of a director whose talent shines in the many short films he has shot.<\/p>\n

\u00c1ngela,\u00a0the heroine in\u00a0La\u00a0<\/i>viajante<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0is thirty-something. Her life is\u00a0dull\u00a0and quiet, always\u00a0by the side of\u00a0her sick mother. When she dies,\u00a0\u00c1ngela\u00a0aimlessly takes to the road, going across lonely landscapes. During her journey, she meets a mysterious man,\u00a0Miquel. They decide to travel north together, in\u00a0a\u00a0quiet understanding. They spend their last\u00a0night\u00a0at a road bar,\u00a0<\/i>El\u00a0<\/i>ansia<\/i>\u00a0de\u00a0<\/i>infinitu<\/i>d<\/i>,\u00a0a\u00a0run-down\u00a0place for lonely night souls. Following a\u00a0heated\u00a0argument,\u00a0Miquel reveals the true reasons\u00a0behind\u00a0his journey.<\/p>\n

Hombres de\u00a0<\/i>l<\/i>eche<\/i>\u00a0is a present-day story of two brothers<\/strong>, the sons of\u00a0the most important goat\u00a0breeder\u00a0and cheese producer\u00a0in the north of the Island of\u00a0Fuerteventura, don Guillermo Cabrera.\u00a0The three of them fell out years ago. When their\u00a0father dies, they learn that in order to have\u00a0access to the inheritance, their father\u2019s last will was for the two of them to take the goat herd to the other end of the island and give it to\u00a0Don Oswaldo,\u00a0the most important goat\u00a0breeder\u00a0and cheese producer\u00a0in the south and\u00a0Don Guillermo\u2019s main rival.\u00a0The film will be shot in\u00a0Tenerife\u00a0too.<\/p>\n

Both films received funds from the Government of the Canary Islands and the crew is made up of Canaries professionals<\/strong>. The cast in\u00a0H<\/i>ombres de\u00a0<\/i>leche<\/i>\u00a0is\u00a0also from the islands.<\/p>\n
