British local newspaper editor Barrie Mahoney, said that the Canary Islands\u00b4 tremendous energy and vitality boil down to its diversity of people all rubbing along happily with each other. Any casting director who works frequently across the seven islands would agree with Barrie. The islands’ colourful diversity is unequalled to most parts of Europe. The series is shooting with the Canary Islands doubling for Mexico, and several Canarian actors have been cast to play supporting roles. The Canarian actors will also be getting their first taste of acting outside Spanish soil as they will be travelling to Eastern Europe in early spring to join the major Swedish actors in studio filming.<\/p>\n
