35th Canary Islands’ International Classical Music Festival: St Petersburg Philharmonic

The St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra returns to the Festival under the baton of its conductor, maestro Temirkanov. The orchestra will perform the iconic Piano Concerto No. 1 by Tchaikovsky, with young Chinese American concert pianist George Li making his Spanish debut. Rachmaninov’s Symphony No. 2 completes the programme. The concert brings together two generations that share the same excellence: “young veteran” Yuri Temirkanov, aged 80, and “veteran youngster” George Li, aged just 23.
