The 36th International Music Festival of the Canary Islands (FIMC) will come to a close with a concert by Orchestre de Paris, France’s leading symphony orchestra. The Orchestre de Paris is comprised of 119 musicians. The orchestra currently performs most of its concerts – about 100 a year – at the Philharmonie de Paris; it also goes on international tours. In Tenerife, the orchestra will be under the baton of German conductor Christoph Eschenbach, accompanied by Swedish violinist Daniel Lozakovich. The repertoire will include works by Felix Mendelssohn and Hector Berlioz.
