The renowned Lebanese-born violinist Ara Malikian is coming to the Santiago Martín Sports Pavilion as part of the new Ara Malikian World Tour. Malikian is one of the most brilliant musicians of his generation, capable of expressing a wide range of emotions with his violin. With a style of his own, he makes innovative, original music. Ara grabbed his first violin at an early age and first performed in a concert when he was 12. At age 15, he won a scholarship to study at the Hannover School of Music in Germany.
The Ara Malikian World Tour was inspired by Malikian’s son growing up, and it encompasses all those sounds and melodies giving shape to what Ara felt being by the boy’s side. In the artist’s own words, this tour “is an encounter with the child that I could not be and would have dreamed of being. It is a tribute to those beings who are as free as a free bird. The magic of finding each day and each path fascinates us, whatever they bring.”
