Ballet Nacional Sodre / Uruguay

Since it was created in 1935, the SODRE Ballet Company has been the public body responsible for fostering professional classic ballet in Uruguay. A national company was set up which not only included the vast spectrum of the classical repertory, but also promoted modern and contemporary dance choreographies for the enjoyment of all citizens.
