Los Gigantes Carnival 2023

From 3 to 11 March, the resort town of Los Gigantes, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, is celebrating Carnival. This year, the celebrations will be concerned with the world of musicals. Los Gigantes boasts the longest-standing Carnival tradition in the south of Tenerife, offering a wide variety of activities for all kinds of people, no matter how old or young they are.

Highlights include the Carnival Queen Pageant (3 March), this year featuring a show by Henry Méndez, the Carnival and Musicals Big Parade (5 March) and the Carnival Costume Exhibition (6 March).

On 9 March, there will be a Drag Queen Pageant – Los Gigantes’ classic equality and diversity event. Celebrations will come to a close with the traditional Burial of the Sardine on 10 March and the Carnival Parade on the following day, with dancers wearing the most amazing costumes and several shows.
