29 June 2023
04 February 2024

From 29 June to 4 February 2024, the Museum of Science and the Cosmos (MCC) is housing an immersive exhibition inviting visitors to find out what happens in a lava tube. In addition, there is a replica of the working area, as well as a series of instruments and materials associated with the eruption of the Tajogaite volcano in La Palma, collected to be shown to the public for the first time.

The exhibition is divided into three main sections, focusing on the work done by the CSIC staff during the eruption by land, air and sea: Land Science, Water Science and Air Science.
