Luar na Lubre are a Spanish folk music group which was established in 1986 in the city of La Coruña as part of the trend in “Celtic music”. Luar in the Galician language means “moon shine”, while lubre can be translated as “sacred forest where the Celtic druids performed their rituals”. The instruments played by the group include Galician bagpipes, Midi bagpipes, melodeon accordion, violin, flutes and whistles, acoustic guitar (and occasionally electric guitar), bouzouki, tambourine and the bodhran drum.
