The popular dance and drum troupe from Israel Mayumana are coming to Tenerife with a new show, Currents, based on the so-called war of currents between Thomas Alva Edison’s direct-current and Nikola Tesla’s alternating-current electrical systems. Currents creates a choreography where sounds, electrical beats and breathtaking dance moves are blended to portray two different worlds with clashing aesthetics.
The show will be staged at the Infanta Leonor Auditorium on 18 and 19 May, and at the University of La Laguna Hall and Theatre on 20 and 21 May.
