Feast of Our Lady of Candelaria

Our Lady of Candelaria, the Patroness of the Canary Islands, has Her festival in the coastal village of Candelaria. Named as a Fiesta of National Tourist Interest, the Feast of Our Lady of Candelaria is both a religious and a popular festival, dating back to the days when religious faith and the cult of the Virgin Mary were in full swing, five centuries ago.

Pilgrims are expected to come from all over the island, ready to worship their Patroness.
