CAE Festival – Blood Wedding (Theatre)

Blood Wedding speaks of the major themes of life - life, death and love - through customs, traditions and symbolism. It focuses on the major forces and impulses that push people towards tragedy. We approach Lorca’s famous play as a long poem full of rhythm and musicality with original compositions by Joan Garriga. A series of scenes, entrances and exits in which actors, actresses, characters and music link up to give life to the bride, the groom, Leonardo, the mother … All in an Andalusian atmosphere coloured by the dry, white landscape and by the blood that flows from it.
