Romí Flamenco Festival

13 January 2017
14 January 2017

La Orotava’s Teobaldo Power Auditorium is the venue for this fourth staging of a musical and artistic production which is unique in the Canaries and has been described as the best flamenco show anywhere in the Islands. The Romí Flamenco Festival brings together top male and female flamenco singers, along with guitarists and percussionists, who bring to the Canaries the purest and most traditional of flamenco music, combined with the most avant-garde fusions. This unique event pays tribute to gipsy women by combining leading figures of the different sides of flamenco on the same stage. In this latest version, the organisers offer up a great show built featuring a broad range of performers headed by Europe’s best jazz musician, the saxophonist and flautist Jorge Pardo, who was recently awarded the Spanish Ministry of Education’s prestigious National Prize for Contemporary Music.
