Fiestas in Granadilla de Abona

The historic town of Granadilla de Abona celebrates its fiestas in honour of St Anthony of Padua and Our Lady of the Rosary. A Crafts Fair takes place on the square outside the town hall on 2 and 3 June. The Pilgrimage and country fair in honour of the saint are held on 3 June at 13.00 and are the biggest celebration of its type in south Tenerife in terms of numbers and participation. Thousands of people converge on the town to take part in a procession that features floats and over twenty musical ensembles and groups of serenading singers from all parts of the island. On 10 June at 20.30 the Los Hinojeros sports centre hosts a concert by legendary folk group Los Sabandeños.
