Global Wellness Day
Global Wellness Day (GWD) is an international non-for-profit day, a project developed by volunteers dedicated to living well. The purpose is to ask the question, even if for just one day, ‘How can I live a healthier and better life?’, directing the thoughts of both individuals and society to the causes of everyday stress and bad habits, thus helping them find inner peace.
First celebrated in Turkey in 2012, GWD was established as a day dedicated to living well, and has now been accepted worldwide. In 2018, GWD was celebrated simultaneously in 120 countries at 5000 different locations.
All GWD activities are free and open to all. They include Zumba, yoga, Pilates, dancing and ballet lessons, walks, workshops on food and happiness, breathing and laughter therapies, arts & crafts workshops, mindfulness seminars, and beauty sessions.
