The Tenerife Auditorium is playing host to the 3rd Spanish Conference on Women and Sports. Organised by the Department of Sports of the Tenerife Island Council, this conference focuses on women’s health in sport. Participants will discuss the factors affecting the sporting performance of women.
The conference will comprise a wide range of activities, including lectures and expert panels. Speakers will include Spanish sprint canoeist María Corbera Muñoz, European and world champion, and football player María Blanco Armendariz of Real Racing Club (Santander), among others. They will discuss topics such as violence and abuse, women’s health and the situation of transgender people in sports. There will be sportswomen to share their first-hand experiences as well.
