Joyce (20th Tensamba Festival 2023)

As part of the 20^th Tensamba Festival, Brazilian singer and guitarist Joyce is coming to the Leal Theatre. Born Joyce Silveira Palhano de Jesus, Joyce has a very long career, which began back in 1968, when she released her first LP, Joyce.

Since then, she has recorded more than twenty albums of her own, and her songs have been recorded by all the greatest names in Brazilian music, including Elis Regina, Toninho Horta and Vinicius de Moraes, and by international artists like Yoko Kanno. Part of her brilliant career runs parallel to the rise of jazz fusion in the United States.
