Raíces cortadas (Severed Roots)
Theatre Company La República performs this Jerónimo López Mozo play which focuses on two key women in Spanish history: Victoria Kent and Clara Campoamor. These two progressive-minded republican MPs were at the centre of one of the most interesting episodes of Spain’s Second Republic – the issue of voting rights for women, which triggered heated debate in the Constituent Parliament of 1931.
