The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and the Tenerife Opera Chorus are coming on stage with Las venturas y desventuras de la hija de un Papa, their version of Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia, a melodramatic opera in a prologue and two acts. Andriy Yurkevych, music director of Teatr Wielki-Opera Narodowa (Polish National Opera) and one of the world’s most acclaimed conductors, will be the conductor in the three performances of this opera, the fourth of the season. Set in the 1930s, Las venturas y desventuras de la hija de un Papa is a co-production of Ópera de Tenerife, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Ópera de Oviedo and Teatro de la Maestranza.
