Music and words combine to bring to life the characters of the commedia dell’arte described by Stravinsky in his Pulcinella Suite, which is derived from the ballet of the same name. In this neoclassic-style suite, the Russian composer reinterprets the music composed in the 18th century and attributed to Italian composer Giovanni Battista Pergolessi.
