Mozart’s Requiem

Haydn - Requiem, K. 626 by W. A. Mozart Although both are considered Classical-era composers, they owe much to the baroque period’s theatrical use of music. Haydn explores dark colours and extreme emotions, while Mozart invokes fire and earthquakes against the backdrop of choruses of Greek drama and angels to help him understand why and how to die.
