Rigoletto (Verdi)

Opera is back at the Tenerife Auditorium. This time, it will be Rigoletto, an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi, based on Le roi s’amuse by Victor Hugo. Having had a triumphant premiere at La Fenice in Venice on 11 March 1851, Rigoletto is a drama about the instinctive passions in man’s soul. Passion, deception, filial love and revenge get intertwined in this opera. This production features singers Luis Cansino, Leonor Bonilla and Simon Orfila, among others.
