Romeo and Juliet

This new concert of the 2022/2023 season of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra will focus on Romeo and Juliet. The concert will feature conductor Daniel Raiskin and renowned violinist Benjamin Schmid, winner of the Carl Flesch International Violin Competition in 1992 in London, where he also received the Mozart, Beethoven and Audience prizes.

The programme will include the following works: Danzas fantásticas by Joaquín Turina; Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35 by Erich Wolfgang Korngold; and selected movements from Suite No. 2 from Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64ter, by Sergei Prokofiev.
