St Roch’s Festival and Procession 2022

In August, Garachico plays host to one of the most popular and traditional festivals in Tenerife. Celebrations begin with the Mass for pilgrims on 16 August at 9.30am.

Afterwards, at 2.00 in the afternoon, there is a procession carrying St Roch along the streets of Garachico, from the main square, Plaza de Ramón Arocha, to the saint’s chapel. Pilgrims are escorted by music bands and minstrels, wagons, flocks of sheep, harnessed horses and merrymakers.
