Once again this year, Puerto de la Cruz is hosting the Bavarian Week/Oktoberfest, a week-long event offering traditional German food and live concerts.
The concerts will be held in hotels and street stages. In addition, local bars, restaurants and hotels will add traditional German dishes to their menus to order during the event.
Oktoberfest was first held in Puerto de la Cruz in 1973, when the Puerto de la Cruz Tourism Initiative Centre (CIT) invited a Bavarian ensemble to perform in a series of concerts in town.
