Easter in La Laguna 2023

San Cristóbal de La Laguna is organising a new Easter programme with the help of the town’s Association of Confraternities and Brotherhoods, this year on the occasion of the 70^th anniversary of these celebrations.

For the first time after the pandemic, Holy Week is going back to normal in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, with all the relevant activities, events and religious processions. San Cristóbal de La Laguna is one of Spain’s UNESCO World Heritage Cities – the only one in the Canary Islands. As such, it makes the perfect setting for the rites and processions that are part of the Easter programme.

Celebrations will begin at the Monastery of Santa Catalina de Siena on Palm Sunday, coming to a close at the Parish Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán on Easter Sunday.
