St Andrew’s Sled Ride Festival 2019

Every year, in late November, the people in Icod de los Vinos get their sleds ready to ride down the many hills surrounding the village. The event is known as Las Tablas de San Andrés – a popular festival that has become a local tradition and has been kept alive for many years, all the way to the present.

The event also marks the beginning of the winery season. The first bottles of wine are opened, and the earliest wines of the season are tasted with chestnuts.
