Threshing Day in El Tanque

Once again this year, the municipality of El Tanque is paying tribute to traditional threshing in an event rescuing the local ethnographic heritage that has been held since 1995 and has become one of the town’s iconic festivals.

Historically, threshing was a common practice across the island, especially in places like El Tanque. On Threshing Day there are activities like workshops and talks, folk performances, photo and other types of competitions, exhibitions and a traditional Canarian meal.
