Toccata Nocturna

The Tenerife Auditorium, with the collaboration of the San Miguel Arcángel Royal Academy of Fine Arts of the Canary Islands, is organising a matinee concert by Barcelona-born organist Aarón Ribas Zorrilla. In this concert’s ambitious repertoire, the power of toccatas interacts with the delicate intimacy of nocturnes in a dialogue that brings out the contrasts between the two genres.

In Ribas Zorrilla’s organ, the strength of Bach, Heiller and Migó will be tempered – and, at the same time, enhanced – by the delicacy of Chopin and Debussy, in an interaction that is the result of Ribas Zorrilla’s experience playing the organ in some of the leading venues in Europe.
