The Historic Road to Candelaria

This pathway was essential for communication on the Island in centuries past, and its great historical and ethnographic value led it to be declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 2008. Along it you will see old wheat threshing fields, the house of Casa del Pirata and the Church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario. The road has been preserved thanks to the devotion of the pilgrims who walk it every year on their way to Villa de Candelaria.
