La Granja Park

Together with the García Sanabria park, this is one of the most popular parks among the local people. It lies between the streets of Avenida de Bélgica, Avenida Madrid and Avenida Benito Pérez Armas, not far from the entrance to the city along the TF-5 road.

With an expanse of over 64,000 square metres (roughly 16 acres), this is the perfect place to do some exercise, take a quiet walk or simply take in this pleasant location in the heart of the city surrounded by Canarian palms and dragon trees. You will see plenty of joggers, teams training together and children playing in the playground.

The park is home to several exotic species such as the American walnut tree, the ombu tree and clusters of royal palms. One of its little squares houses a sculpture in memory of the documentary maker Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, by María Belén Morales.

La Granja has a children's playground, picnic tables and benches, sports and exercise facilities and a play area for pets.

Opening hours: Permanently open. All year round.
Entrance price: Free.
