The Church of San Juan Bautista or Las Clarisas
Founded in 1547, this was the first convent in the Canary Islands. The building we see today was rebuilt after a fire in the early 18th century.
Routes through the old quarters and towns on the island are dotted with historic buildings and monuments. Besides their great value, they are exceptionally beautiful, so it is always worth stopping to take a look.
