The Pinolere Ethnographic Museum is located in the 3,000-square-metre park of the same name, where the Pinolere Craft Fair is held in early September each year. Organised by the Pinolere Cultural Association, it is attended by some 200 craftsmen and women and 40,000 visitors and has become one of the most successful in the Canary Islands.

The Association also manages the Ethnographic Museum, which was opened in 2002 and is open twelve months a year. The museum recreates the popular culture, the history and the customs of this inland area in the north of Tenerife. The centre has a threshing-floor, various single-storey buildings, chicken runs and rabbit pens, a medicinal garden and the characteristic straw houses, traditional buildings which were once a place of residence but which have now been turned into exhibition spaces. A meticulous reproduction of a "venta" or traditional shop is another item of interest.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. On request, it is possible to visit the museum outside normal opening hours.

Prices: Adults, 2 €, children from 8 to 15, 1 € and children under 8, free.
