La Culata Cliffs
Protected Landscape
This is one of the Island's most unique locations due to its geological and geomorphological significance. A genuine marine fossil cliff that combines nature with rural elements. Here, you will be able to stroll amidst thermophilic forests and see endangered species such as the cabezón.
Municipality: Garachico, El Tanque, Los Silos and Icod de los Vinos
Expanse: 552.1 hectares (1,364.3 acres)
How to get there:
From Los Silos, along the TF-42. As you exit Los Silos, towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife, take the first right turn, about 700 m (765 yards) from the Town Hall. This leads you onto a road towards Tierra del Trigo, which links up to the TF-423. Once you are on that road, after roughly 1 km (0.62 miles) you will come to the protected landscape and its ecologically delicate environment.
You can also come from the town of Garachico along the TF-421 heading up towards the cliff.
