Barranco de Ruíz

You will find this ravine at the far end of the protected landscape of Los Campeches, Tigaiga and Ruiz. One of its main assets is the huge diversity of species it is home to, such as the woodland that transitions from macaronesian heathland into laurel forest.

How to get there:

You can access this location by turning off the TF-5 motorway 600 m (656 yards) after kilometre 44, just before the town of Las Aguas, in San Juan de La Rambla. There you will find the Barranco de Ruiz recreational area. On the side of the road opposite that area, heading towards Santa Cruz-Garachico, there is an exit to the right where you can make a u-turn to access the recreational area. You can park here and enter the ravine on foot.
