This ancient ceremony that takes place in Puerto de la Cruz on the night of San Juan, during the summer solstice, was already popular among the Guanche people. The act involves leading a heard of over 2000 goats and some 20 horses down to the fishing dock for a dip. Originally, the tradition was intended to prepare the livestock for mating. You'll need to get up bright and early if you want to catch a glimpse of the animals bathing.
