Trail description

In the interest of your safety and the preservation of the area, restrictive measures have been put in place to prevent people from accessing the Peak (at 3,718 m - 12,198 ft) from La Rambleta (3,550 m - 11,647 ft) without permission. The trail, which goes from La Rambleta to the summit of El Teide, is in good condition, so the main difficulty lies in its steep slopes, which can reach gradients of up to 60%, and in its high altitude, starting at 3,550 m (11,647 ft). You will have to walk calmly and it is advisable to stop regularly to catch your breath. Once at the top, when the sky is not too cloudy, you will be rewarded with absolutely breathtaking views of Tenerife and the neighbouring islands. The name of the trail is dedicated to Telesforo Bravo, a distinguished Canarian geologist who is considered by many the father of volcanology in the Canary Islands. Near the crater, you will see fumaroles emitting smoke as a reminder that the volcano is still alive.
