Your hike starts in the centre of the municipality of Fasnia, in the square by the church of San Joaquín, although you can choose to start it by the ruins of the Old Church about two-thirds of a mile further away. Walking behind the church along Calle El Calvario, you will join a short stretch of the TF-620 main road, before rejoining the same street and the Royal Pathway (along a paved stretch this time), which leads you past the municipal football pitch. The trail then reaches the paved track of Lomo de La Tose, which you will have to walk carefully along before returning to the path. Through farmland and along the original old pathway, the trail leads you to the Herques ravine. Once you have crossed the ravine, carry on along the path, past the foot of Montaña Béñamo and the ruins of the Old Chapel of San José or San Vicente Ferrer, where parts of the trail are just earth and others are paved. Keep on walking towards Lomo de La Corujera and across Avenida Bayón. Further ahead, you will come to the bottom of the La Angostura ravine, locally known as the Achacay ravine. Cross it and walk up along the ridge of Lomo de La Tambora, until you cross the Main South Road by the old tavern of El Escobonal. Carry on along the paved road to reach the end of your hike: the square by the church of El Escobonal. Hypsometry For your own safety, don't forget to check the condition of the trail.
