Hostels are a particular form of accommodation that is different from others such as hotels, motels or bed & breakfast. The most important characteristic is that everything is designed so that people can meet each other in the communal spaces. That is what a hostel is, an ideal meeting place to get to know people in a very agreeable and enjoyable atmosphere. Hostels are governed by basic standards of quality and the normal rules of living together (such as welcome, comfort, safety, privacy, cleanliness…).
"El jostel" is a young persons' establishment, right in the centre of Santa Cruz, to be exact in the district of El Toscal, in an old house with encaustic cement floor tiles dating from 1931. There are fourteen beds in a total of four rooms - one of which is individual with a double bed -. There are communal areas such as the kitchen, bathroom, terrace and a small library.
Accommodation includes beds, breakfast with local seasonal produce, wifi and lockers.
It is very close to parks, supermarkets, public parking, bus services, museums, cafés and shopping centres.
